Shopping Attire

_____________________________________________________________________________________

While at the beach, we made a quick trip to the outlets to do some shopping. We were all so exhausted from traveling and all the wedding activities, you can see how tired I was while snapping these photos, but I just had to share my shopping attire with you guys.
I've been on the hunt for a perfect fitting utility vest for a while now; I found the perfect one on Poshmark about a month and have been dying to wear it ever since. The weather was still cool enough in the evening that I could get away with wearing it over my favorite cotton tee from J.Crew. I own several different colors in this tee (see a previous look, here), so this probably won't be the last time I mention them. And, what about this show stopping earrings! I thought they went perfectly with the tee!

Outfit Details:
Striped Tee--J.Crew// Utility Vest--J.Crew, Poshmark// Earrings--J.Crew// Handbag--Vera Bradley, gifted// Leopard Flats--Merona, Bargain Hunt

Despite the travel exhaustion, it was so nice to get away even if it was for only a couple days. Its always great getting to celebrate big life events with loved ones; and of course any excuse to go shopping! ;)

Surprise Kate Spade Sale

Attention, attention everyone! Kate Spade is having a surprise sale and everything is up to 75% off now through tomorrow. I just couldn't help, but share the good news! Now's the perfect time to splurge and buy yourself something pretty! Come on, you know you want to!

A couple weeks ago, we were shopping at the outlets in Simpsonville and of course had to make a stop in the Kate Spade store there. I almost gave in and purchased these adorable pink sunnies, but quickly changed my mind. Well, not now! I snagged these beauties the moment I saw them listed with sale!

Mommy Mondays; Stroller Thief

Hello Monday, we meet again.... already??!
Is it just me, or do the weekends go by incredibly too fast?! I swear, sometimes it feels like I blink and its back to the work week.
We finally went to the Simpsonville Outlets this past Saturday. My parents were shopping for their upcoming trip to Hawaii and we decided to tag along to do some shopping. Having the sweetest husband in the world that I do, he laid out some serious cash so I could shop. And no, he doesn’t do this for me all the time, my birthday is coming up and this was my gift. So, I did some damage at the J.Crew store; I've always loved their clothes, but recently I have been leaning more towards them when trying to find something new to add to my closet. If I had the money, I would totally redo my entire wardrobe in their clothes, but I would need to hit the lottery for that to happen. LOL
I have to complain for a minute… You knew it was coming from todays title. Of course we took Staley with us; she lounged in her stroller while we went from store to store. Almost every store we went in, the sales people would slyly follow us around as if we were shop lifting! And to top it all off, the security poles went off as we left almost every store; I’ve never been more embarrassed! Any other mom’s deal with this while you’re out shopping with the stroller? Working in retail for nearly a decade, I know there are shop lifters out there and I’ve had to spy and chase down a few of them over the years, but I’ve never followed a mom around the store because she’s pushing a stroller. I was so embarrassed, anyone else feel the same way? Or is it just me?
Ok rant over, I just needed to get that outta my system. It’s been bugging me all weekend. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week. Stay tuned for more posts later in the week!

One Faith Boutique

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with One Faith Boutique to show off some items. This boutique caters to sizes 2-16 and they feature many unique and trendy items to suit everyone's style and needs. I heard about this boutique through my mom and I soon as I visited their website, I knew that I would love to work with them. On their "About Us" section they talk about spreading God's love with every customer and order; every order placed a portion is donated to charities such as the American Bible Society, My Stuff Bags and more. I love that this company is very charitable and willing to help out others through their business. I think that is a very rare find these days.

I picked out two completely different looks to show just how wide of variety they offer. My favorite is the mint dress, that is great for a night out. I just love how free flowing it is and the color is perfect for spring and summer. I think this would also look great with a belt to show off the waist.  I paired it with some pointy kitten heels from Zara to dress it up even more. I didn't feel like this needed a lot of jewelry, so I decided to pull my hair back and show off these darling Kendra Scott earrings.
The second look, is more boho and carefree. Wouldn't this be perfect for all those summer outdoor concerts?! This tunic is so soft and easy to wear. I love all the weaving and the fringe at the bottom, it gives it a very unique look. I paired this with my "John Lennon" sunnies, stone bangles, boyfriend jeans and a great pair of metallic braided sandals. This look just screams summer!

I highly recommend checking out their website. Everything is very affordable, and the clothing is high quality. I know you will be able to find something you love.
* If you place an order now through May 9th you are entered in a chance to win a $250 shopping spree!

Happy Shopping!

Weekend Wrap Up

I feel like the weekends just get shorter and shorter! Did everyone have a great weekend? Nathan and I did some shopping on Saturday and I finally replaced my favorite pair of black dress flats that I've had for about 5 years. They've finally worn holes through the bottom, I guess its time for them to travel up to shoe heaven. {tear} Good news, I was able to find great pair by the same designer as my last, at Payless. If you haven't tried on a pair of Christian Siriano heels, then you are missing out. They are so comfy and his line at Payless is very affordable.
This was my relaxed, messy bun, shopping look from Saturday. You have to be comfortable when you're doing a marathon of shopping and swatching lipsticks all day!

My Surprise Day!

I always say that I want surprises for my birthday, but I can't stand the anticipation of a surprise. For the last few weeks my husband has been saying, "are you ready for Sunday?, Don't make any plans for Sunday the 18th.", but wouldn't give any clue as to what we were doing. So finally the date has came and went, this is how the big day went.

I was told to wake up bright and early to get dressed and be ready since our ride would be here to pick us up at 9 am. Our ride was our old roommate Kris! When then left to pick up my brother and his girl friend, with the five of us in the car we traveled down the highway toward Louisville; I still had no idea what we were doing, it was a nice surprise when we pulled into the parking lot of the Louisville Zoo.

I'd never been to the Louisville Zoo before, that had a huge selection of animals to see from the ones pictured to giraffes, polar bears and some pretty creepy looking bats!

The day wasn't over yet! We left the zoo and had lunch at the Cheese Cake Factory! It was so good! We got the greatest Mac & Cheese fried appetizers that I probably could have ate 20 of!
Unfortunately, I ate so much for lunch that if couldn't get any cheese cake! I couldn't have decided anyway, they have so many options.
After lunch, I was given free rein to shop! Of course I had to go in the two-story Forever 21. I spent basically all of time here until the mall closed. Nathan bought me a really cute maxi skirt, gold & black muscle tee and a adorable pair of black wedges! We were also able to go into a Nordstrom Rack and get a few designer things for a pretty good deal as well.

Shopping was over, I thought the day was over and we were heading back home, but then came the last surprise of the day. They were taking me to see Godzilla in IMAX! I was so excited! Is always wanted to see a movie in IMAX and I love all the Godzilla movies (which I liked this one as well!)

Overall, it was a great surprise! The whole day was so much fun and I got to spend it with some of my favorite people. I know one thing, I'm so lucky to have a husband like Nathan, he went to so much trouble to plan the entire day for me and keep it a secret! I couldn't have asked for a better husband!
