Moving on to the Thrifty Little Lady

Now that I'm back into blogging, I'm more serious than ever. I decided if I were going to get any where in the blogging word, the next step was to buy a domain. So, with the much needed help of a friend, I purchased my own domain today and started the reconstruction of my site. So, over the next few weeks, things may look different while I adjust to the new platform. One big change, is my name. I'm now the "Thrifty Little Lady". This will also be my last post on the Blogger, if you wish to continue following my posts, please visit my new site at thriftylittlelady.com
I'm very excited for the new look, content and adventures coming in the future.
Stay tuned for more!
Kisses,
Kayla

Thrifted Thursday-- The Basic Leopard

____________________________________________________________________________________

Happy Thrifted Thursday! You know what the means, one more day till the WEEKEND!! I always make this plan to spend the entire day at home, relax and spend time with family, but we end up going non stop every time and feel like we should have a long weekend from our weekend. Right?!!
Tonight, Nathan and I are going to see Highly Suspect at Manchester Music Hall in Lexington. This was a very last minute decision, I won tickets on Tuesday and couldn't pass up the chance to see an amazing band and meet them! Yes, I also won meet and greet tickets! :)

Now, on to this weeks Thrifted Thursday look. I call this the "basic Leopard". I love looks like this, its simple, relaxed and there's absolutely no thought needed; its one of those, throw it on and get the crap outta the house looks. LOL
If you know me well, then you know I'm obsessed with leopard print, I'm a sucker for anything with this print. So when I found this basic, cotton, leopard print tee, I knew it had to be mine. I paired it with a pair of jean leggings and two tone flats that were also thrifted; both which I have worn the life out of since finding them.

Outfit Details:
Leopard Tee// Goodwill // $3
Jean Leggings// Goodwill // $5
Two Tone Flats// Poshmark // $8
Tassell Necklace// J.Crew // $15
Denim Cross Body // Kate Spade Outlet // $85
Total: 116

I've linked some of my other favorite leopard print tee's below! Happy Shopping! :)

VB X Target

Back to the work grind already. The weekend flew by for us, as always we were none stop both Saturday and Sunday. Since we had such beautiful weather, we spend most of the weekend outdoors. Now that Staley is very mobile, she loves being outside with the dogs, walking in the grass or just yelling "hi" at people as they walk by. We did take some sweet Easter shots of her and our english bulldog, Lemmy; you can see those here & here

As many of you know, Victoria Beckham collabed with Target for probably the most chic collection ever! I really love everything she came out with, especially the mother/daughter pieces. I may have purchased an outfit for Staley and I for a future look. :)
My favorite solo piece by far this orange scalloped top,  its so flattering on my short stature and I love the scalloped detail. This top paired great with my black skinny jeans,  but I think it would also look cute with a skirt. I added my new Kate Spade denim bag to tie everything together. I picked up this beauty while we were in Myrtle beach, see previous post for details.

I've linked my exact top & pants below with similar options for shoes and bag since the ones I'm wearing are currently sold out! Happy shopping!

Thrifted Thursday--Staley's Look

_______________________________________________________________________________________

Being a mom has been so amazing, especially to this beautiful, bright eyed girl. Staley is full of happiness, laughter and even has a small devilish side, but what toddler doesn't? She loves showing off and being in front of the camera. So, for this week I thought it would be only fitting to feature Staley in this addition of "Thirfted Thursday!" Keep scrolling for more cuteness!

Staley gets more new clothes than I do these days, but while I'm shopping for myself at the local thrift store, I always like to stop by the kids section to see if I can find her something too. Over the last year, I've found so many cute girl clothes, some even new with tags, but I always look for things she can play or eat in and not worry about ruining the outfit.
About a month ago, I found a lot of 10 hair bows all new with tags for only $2! I also found this cute cherry oneis and black pants. Outfits like this are Staley's go to looks for daycare; comfy and cute!

Outfit Details:
Cherry oneis: $1.59//Goodwill
Black Pants $1.59//Goodwill
Pink Bow $.20
Sneakers $25//Target
 Total: $28.38

Happy Thursday

Shopping Attire

_____________________________________________________________________________________

While at the beach, we made a quick trip to the outlets to do some shopping. We were all so exhausted from traveling and all the wedding activities, you can see how tired I was while snapping these photos, but I just had to share my shopping attire with you guys.
I've been on the hunt for a perfect fitting utility vest for a while now; I found the perfect one on Poshmark about a month and have been dying to wear it ever since. The weather was still cool enough in the evening that I could get away with wearing it over my favorite cotton tee from J.Crew. I own several different colors in this tee (see a previous look, here), so this probably won't be the last time I mention them. And, what about this show stopping earrings! I thought they went perfectly with the tee!

Outfit Details:
Striped Tee--J.Crew// Utility Vest--J.Crew, Poshmark// Earrings--J.Crew// Handbag--Vera Bradley, gifted// Leopard Flats--Merona, Bargain Hunt

Despite the travel exhaustion, it was so nice to get away even if it was for only a couple days. Its always great getting to celebrate big life events with loved ones; and of course any excuse to go shopping! ;)

Beach Bliss

This past weekend, we traveled to Myrtle Beach for a wedding;  my cousin, Tiffany got married in the sand and it was so beautiful. Staley and I were both part of the wedding party; Staley looked so cute in her flower girl dress that my mom made; she's so talented! The weather was perfect for her big day, and she looked so beautiful in her dress. Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Cooper!
It was a quick 3 day trip, especially traveling with a toddler, but Staley did better than expected. After a few hours her and I both were ready to get out of the car! Needless to say, we're extremely happy to be home. I spent yesterday unpacking, doing laundry and some much needed house work to get ready for the rest of the work week. I did manage to sneak out for a bit to snag some pieces from the new Victoria Beckham for Target collab. Everything in the collection is so chic, it was so hard narrowing down what to buy. I'm a sucker for "mommy and me" type outfits (as you can see, here) and this collection was full of them. What did you think of the collection?

Here are a few of my favorite snaps from this weekend.

Thrifted Thursday; Blues and Bows

Welcome back friends! We had some major storms last night in Kentucky. Whenever there is a threat for thunder storms with tornado warnings, I get so nervous and can't sit down; I'm constantly running to the windows to look outside. I don't know if its just me, but every single time we have a severe storm, I actually think its going to be just like the movie, "Twister". Don't ask, I don't know why.

Anyways, lets talk about this weeks "Thrifted Thursday", nothing but blue skies in these pictures. ;) One of my favorite clothing items to wear are button down shirts. I probably have 10+ in my closet in different patterns, prints and colors. There just perfect to throw on with jeans or dress up with a skirt.
For this particular look, I paired this cotton blue plaid button down with my favorite skinny jeans and a adorable pair of yellow pep toe bow flats, that my mom actually thrifted!

Outfit Details:
Lands End Blue & White Button Down // Goodwill $4
Anne Klien Flex Yellow Bow Flats // Goodwill $4
Vintage Aigner Crossbody // Poshmark $9
Yellow Statement Earrings // Jane $2
Jean Leggings // Style & Co $25

Total cost: $44

I'll be wearing those adorable bow flats all summer long; thanks mom!
As you know, this is my thrifted look for the week so everything I linked below are similar options, except for my jeans!
