Easy Breezy

Every weekend, just like most families, we're constantly on the go so, when it comes to my outfits, I just want to throw something on thats comfy, doesn't take much thought, but still looks put together. I've grabbed for these shorts almost every weekend, thank goodness I have them in several different colors! They're so comfortable and go with just about everything in my closet, especially this popover paisley top from J.Crew; its very light weight and breezy, perfect for the warmer weather we've been having. I paired it with my favorite bag and flip flops to top off the look. BTW, I've had this bag for over 10 years! It was my very first Coach bag my parents bought me.

Have a great week!

Yellow

Well, I'm a working girl again. Wednesday was my first day back at the office from, what felt like a very short maternity leave. I wish I could have stayed home with my sweet Staley, but I think all moms feel this way when they have to go back to work. Am I right?
Since it was my first back in the office in almost 3 months, I wanted to be as comfy as possible! I mean I'm used to wearing nothing but t-shirts and sweats (not office appropriate!) I thought this bright and lose yellow plaid top would be perfect to wear with a pair of black leggings. This is my first yellow anything, I usually don't gravitate to yellow clothing, but I found this at the thrift store and for only $3 I'd be crazy to not give it a try.

That's what I love about thrifting, I get to try out colors and prints I would have never purchased for myself at any other clothing store.

Outfit Details:

2016 Thrifting Challenge

I'm a lover of thrifting, finding unloved, unwanted treasures to add to my closet. The word has been spreading around the thrifting community to complete a 2016 thrifting challenge. What is this you might ask? Well, its a promise to only purchase second hand clothing for the entire year. Seeing as we're already well into 2016, I'm a little behind. But who can blame me, I just had a baby in February and have been in the mom zone ever since. Now that my maternity leave is coming to an end, I have to get back into the real world.
Going back to work still carrying some baby weight has limited my wardrobe and now being a mother, I'm even more cash savvy then I was before. So I decided to dive into the thrifting challenge and find some new pieces to welcome to my closet. I was able to sneak out of the house a couple weeks ago and went shopping for the first time since before my sweet Staley was born.

Here are a few things I snagged at my local Goodwill.
LOFT Sweaters - Loft Cream Sweater
Liz Claiborne Sweaters - Liz Claiborne Striped SweaterCoach Bags - Vintage Coach Willis Bag 9927
Old Navy Shoes - Snake Print Flats

Both sweaters I found are in excellent condition and will be perfect for spring. I also, was beyond excited to find another Vintage Coach Willis bag. I found one while thrifting about a year ago and decided to recently sell it, I may end up hanging on to this one for a while. Before I officially go back to work I'm hitting up Goodwill one last time to see what else I can find. If you're into thrifting as much as I am, try the 2016 thrift challenge. You'll be amazed at what you can find and the money you will save!

Also, I really hope I can get back into the swing of blogging. I really enjoyed it before, but with my pregnancy and becoming a first time mother, it has been the last thing on my mind. I promise to not stay away too long this time!

Happy Thrifting Friends!

Weekend wrap up; Meet Lemmy

I had a wonderful weekend, how about you guys? We relaxed, did a few things around the house, I made several freezer meals for the next few weeks, oh and we got a new puppy! Meet Miss Lemmy, our new English bulldog, she's 8 weeks and full of energy! We already have two spoiled Chihuahua's (that are always sneaking in on outfit pictures!), why not add one more loveable puppy to the mix.
If your not familiar with this breed, they require a lot of attention in the beginning. Its basically like having a toddler running around the house, because she's into everything. This will prep us for kids, right?! {LOL}
Because we were running around all weekend chasing a puppy, my look was laid back and comfy. Striped button up with a pair of Levi shorts. I usually don't like to wear short, but I love these Levi's. I've had them for a couple of years and they are the perfect jean shorts in my opinion.
Happy Monday!
